A post on the Lee's Summit Tribune's web site reminds citizens the City of Lee's Summit is seeking applicants for its Citizens Leadership Academy.

Plans for Village of View High, Paragon Star move forward

A proposed $225 million mixed-use development in western Lee's Summit received partial approval to move forward from the Lee's Summit City Council. In a piece for the Lee's Summit Journal, Russ Pulley tells us of the Council's approval for the rezoning of 74 acres at View High Drive and Third Street. The Council also approved a development plan for apartments near 109th Street, but proposed senior living housing and retail development will need more approvals before moving froward.

Core Balance Yoga Center has opened a second location near Raintree Lake. A post this week on the Lee's Summit Journal's web site offers details on the Center's expansion from its first location near Lakewood to its second Lee's Summit-area locale.

STORYography Cards help creative types bring their works to market

The Lee's Summit Journal lets know about a new marketing service for creatives courtesy of Lee's Summit-based Creative Center of America. STORYography Cards is a new product developed by CEO Robin Blakely. The cards, she says, "help talented individuals navigate the mysterious landscape between their initial creative concepts and the marketing of their talent-driven brands."
