Why did you choose your location? What made it the ideal space for your business?:

Conveniently located off 291 and Colbern Rd, Training for Warriors re-energizes the space on Rice Road. The large open space allows for great group workouts and strength training, and the upstairs loft space is ideal for specialized workouts like cardio kickboxing and yoga.

Tell us your story. What does your business offer its customers and what drives you to be the best provider of this service/product?:

Training for Warriors was created over 10 years ago by Martin Rooney as a way to train elite athletes in the MMA world. Realizing that even the weekend warrior could benefit from losing weight, building muscle and feeling good he launched the Training for Warriors affiliate program. At TFW Lee's Summit, we offer the one-on-one attention that you'd get from a personal trainer in a small group session. We offer detailed warm-ups, strength training, speed training, nutrition plans and coaching, and daily motivation.

What is the business culture? Tell us why others would want to work with/for you?:

One of the things that we value at TFW is family. You'll often see our social media posts followed by #familia. We truly treat every student at our gym like family. We celebrate their successes and we mourn for their losses. We encourage everyone to be just a little bit better than they were yesterday. With consistent effort, those little daily changes add up to amazing things.

Time to toot your own horn? Give us three reasons why your business rocks and why you love what you do.:

  1. Watching our students accomplish goals they never thought they could. We love to hear the PR bell ring!
  2. No matter what mood students arrive in, they always leave happy.
  3. Like I mentioned before, we are one big #familia and we have fun.
