Downtown Lee's Summit is losing a long-standing business this month. Volume Instant Printing, has announced a sale to Independence-based Corporate Copy Print. In a release, printed in the Lee's Summit Tribune, owners Bill and Connie Bears explained the sale after more than 30 years of local operation.
Businessman hopes to bring new life to old post office
Another plan for the former the downtown Lee's Summit Post Office is taking shape. The Lee's Summit Journal's Russ Pulley offered some insight into the proposed project from local real estate investor and entrepreneur, Ben Rao. Rao's proposal to turn the building into a co-work space has received approval the Lee's Summit Planning commission and will now seek approval from the Lee's Summit City Council.
