Two Rivers names Trafton as new CEO

Two Rivers Behavioral Health System welcomes Terry Trafton to the position of Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director. Terry brings a strong commitment and history of creating person centered care.

“I am thrilled to bring my energy and passion for mental health treatment to Two Rivers and its history of serving behavioral, mental health and substance use needs in the Kansas City region,” Trafton said. “I am eager to begin to work on our development in making Two Rivers a leader in the industry once again.”

Trafton holds a certificate as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Missouri and holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Avila University. He is also a National Certified Counselor and a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Well known in the behavioral health field in the Kansas City area, Trafton has worked within the Truman Medical Center Behavioral Health Division since 1997 and has been civically active in Kansas City for many years, serving on the boards of directors for the Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce as a Vice Chair of Community Development, is the President of the Greater Lee’s Summit Healthcare Foundation and Vice President of the Missouri Mental Health Foundation.
