Why did you choose your location? What made it the ideal space for your business?

We are conveniently located just north of 50 Hwy at the Hutt Rd. exit, with easy access from 50 Hwy. We serve horse owners from many surrounding areas (Kansas City, Brookside, Lee's Summit, Blue Springs, Lone Jack, and Leawood, to name a few). Although close in, we feel very much in the country. We sit hill-top, surrounded by trees, pond and pastures, on 35 beautiful acres.

Tell us your story. What does your business offer its customers and what drives you to be the best provider of this service/product?

We're a family-run business, and we live and love horses and the people who love them. We specialize in Arabs and half-Arabs, and welcome other breeds (Friesians, Saddlebreds, and Quarterhorses in residence). With three on-site trainers (Grace Petty and Bill Coy of Imagine Farms, and Lisa Mullen), and lessons available 7 days a week, clients can ride and train with us at times that meet their busy schedules. Imagine Farms' clients have the opportunity to compete at local, regional and national events, from the American Royal, to AHA US and Canadian Nationals.

What is the business culture? Tell us why others would want to work with/for you?

We are "horse first". Our horses are looked after with care, consistency, leadership, and compassion. A few of the horses in our care were rescues.....if a horse comes here not knowing the goodness in people, they will find out in short order, a different life, and a partnership with their new owner.

What is a business success story from the previous three years?

We bought an empty barn in May of 2014, and are now close to capacity, but we always keep room for training horses. We are proud that almost all of our original clients are still with us.

Time to toot your own horn? Give us three reasons why your business rocks and why you love what you do.

We're a welcoming barn, and we love riders of all ages and abilities, including special needs. Our trainers achieve amazing results, while respecting the abilities and limitations of each horse and rider.
