Owners of four local businesses plan to open seafood restaurant in former 810 Zone site

Andy Lock and Domhnall Molloy, owners of Summit Group LLC, have announced plans to purchase the 6,500-square foot former 810 Zone building in the Summit Woods shopping district.

The building was most recently the home to 810 Zone.

Initial plans are for a local seafood restaurant, a concept they have long envisioned since their time at McCormick & Schmick’s on the Country Club Plaza. The new restaurant plans to open its doors by the middle of 2018.

Lock and Molloy, who were recently named ‘Restaurateurs of the Year’ by the Greater Kansas City Restaurant Association, have undoubtedly made a mark in the restaurant industry. Their portfolio includes five restaurant concepts – Summit Grill (locations in Waldo and Lee’s Summit), Third Street Social, Bōru Ramen Bar, Summit Cellar & Spirits and Lakewood Local. Lock and Molloy’s next concept will be their sixth restaurant opening since 2012.
