New owners celebrating first anniversary at downtown's LS Scrapbook Boutique

New owners celebrating first anniversary at downtown's LS Scrapbook Boutique

December first will mark the first anniversary for LS Scrapbook Boutique owners Stacie and Randy Walker.

A ribbon cutting to celebrate the occasion is set for 9:45 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 1.

The couple purchased the Scrapbook Boutique on December 1, 2016 and changed the name to LS Scrapbook Boutique.  They are both local residents and Randy graduated from Lee’s Summit High School.  Stacie grew up in south Kansas City and graduated from Hickman Mills High School.

With the purchase of the scrapbook store, the design team stayed on and new members have been added.  The previous owner has stayed on as part of the design team.

Inside LS Scrapbook Boutique, you will also find a custom framing business.  This and That Custom Framing was started in the Walker’s home.  Randy got started in custom framing nearly 25 years ago when he began framing his own sports memorabilia and projects for family and friends.  In 2016, Randy decided to open his own framing business.  Both businesses help people preserve their memories, and so the two businesses have been combined into a common storefront. This and That Custom Framing offers a wide variety of moldings, acid-free matte board, and conservation glass.

LS Scrapbook Boutique caters to the scrapbooker, card maker, and crafter.  The store carries many different lines of products from BoBunny, Photo Play, Simple Stories, We R Memory Keepers, Graphic 45, and many others.  A variety of classes ranging from 2-page layouts, cards, crafts and home décor are also offered.  They also hosts open crops and all day crops which allow people to come in and work on their crafting projects for the day.

Other services LS Scrapbook Boutique provides is creating personal items for their customer’s special needs.  They have created graduation display boards, personalized cards for that special someone, memorial scrapbooks of loved ones, and many other items.  Personal one-on-one tutoring on various tools and help in creating various items for customers is also available.

Store hours are Monday 10 – 6, Tuesday and Wednesday 10 – 5, Thursday and Friday 10 – 6, and Saturdays 10 – 4.  They are closed on Sundays.
