St. Michael the Archangel ready to open its doors for the 2017-18 school year
With a special blessing and dedication service on Friday, Aug. 4, led by Bishop James V. Johnston, St. Michael the Archangel Catholic High School is officially ready to open its doors for the 2017-18 school year.
The school, which is the first Catholic high school to be built in Missouri in more than 50 years, will be the fifth high school located in Lee's Summit joining Summit Christian Academy and the Lee's Summit R-7 School Districts's Lee's Summit, Lee's Summit North and Lee's Summit West high schools.
SMA, located at 2901 NW Lee's Summit Road is under the governance of the Diocese of Kansas City – St. Joseph. Friday's service also included a ribbon cutting for the new school.
