District 1 Council members Forte & Binney to join live Lee's Summit Town Hall podcast on Sept. 28
A special live recording of the Lee's Summit Town Hall podcast has been set for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28 at the Gamber Community Center. The event will feature a public conversation with Lee's Summit District 1 City Council members Diane Forte and Rob Binney.
"This is the first of a handful of live events we're planning as a way to continue the podcast's mission of encouraging and celebrating community involvement," said Link 2 Lee's Summit publisher and Town Hall co-host Nick Parker. "Community involvement can take many forms, but my co-host Jason Norbury and I firmly believe it starts with being an informed citizen and voter. To that end we wanted to give District 1 residents and business owners to hear about the issues they deem important, directly from their elected representatives."
District 1 residents and business owners are encouraged to submit topics and questions they'd like covered to Link 2 Lee's Summit through the Facebook page or via e-mail. Attendees will also be invited to submit at the event.
