Kicking off its 16th season, the Lee’s Summit Symphony begins a new era at 6p.m. this Saturday, Oct. 13 at The Pavilion at John Knox Village.
New this year will be the home venue for symphony performances as it moves into The Pavilion. Additionally, founding conductor Russ Berlin will be joined this season by co-conductor Kirt Mosier.
The performance will feature Overture to Candide, West Side Story, a violin concerto with a twist and an original piece written and arranged by Mosier.
Doors open at 6 p.m. Saturday with a cocktail reception and pre-concert comments from Dr. Carrie Turner. The performance will begin at 7 p.m.
