Linda Harrelson joins the 2018 Icon of Education list along with nine other educators including University Presidents at Avila, Kansas Medical Center, Saint Louis University, Missouri Southern State, Kansas State, Wichita State, Emporia State, Maryville University, and the Superintendent of Kansas, KS Public Schools.
“Mrs. Harrelson constantly focuses all of us on our mission, “To inspire students to achieve their God-given potential through excellent academics and Christian training in a compassionate environment,” shared SCA Board President David Drum. “She continues to remind us that this takes engaged, spiritually growing, and excellent teachers, coaches and directors who are leader-mentors of our kids, in addition to strong and highly motivated administrators using their unique gifts and talents.”
Linda Harrelson was featured in the Jan. 15 episode of the Community Voices podcast. Listen to the full conversation with host Nick Parker.
Ingram’s recognition program recognizes the finest talent that the region has to offer in various industries including executives, entrepreneurs, healthcare law and education.
“What we don’t see in this recognition is the many lives that have been touched and shaped, and the lives of generations behind them. THIS is what Summit Christian Academy is focused on,” shared Drum. “Because we know our school spirit lasts for eternity. And the impact of quiet, hard-working servant-leaders, who choose to grow daily in their spiritual walk with God and apply their faith to the circumstances at home, work and community, are the invisible heroes that make the United States of America truly a great nation with international and historical impact.”
