Summit Christian Academy's fifth-grade classes have been chosen as honorable mention entries for the 2017 "I Am Here" youth photo contest hosted by KC Healthy Kids.

The classes entered the competition that asked students, “How does your environment help you be healthy, and how does it not help you be healthy?” Students were to take pictures representing the statements and explain how their surrounding did or did not help them lead a healthy lifestyle.

The school received a check to be used for health and wellness purposes at SCA at the KC Healthy Kids luncheon held at the Kauffman Foundation Conference Center.
