A number of Lee’s Summit High School students captured awards at the District Technology Contest, held April 26 at Metropolitan Community College’s Business and Technology Campus in Kansas City.
The competition included schools from throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area.

LSHS students competing are enrolled in Tony Mixon’s industrial technology classes. Sixty LSHS students entered the contest with all 60 earning a first-place award, 12 receiving runner-up awards and 24 earning grand awards. The students receiving grand awards will go on to compete at the state contest.
Anthony Mixon was awarded a “Best of Show” award, winning this top award among all competing students. This is the second year in a row that LSHS has won this award.
