Summit Christian Academy (SCA) sophomore Annie Harsch is one of 24 semi-finalists in the 2019 KC SuperStar competition.
Nearly 200 students representing 67 schools auditioned for the singing competition. The 24 semi-finalists will perform in June where 10 finalists will be selected by judges. The finalists will compete in a live show where the audience electronically votes for the winner of a scholarship and the title of KC SuperStar.
KC SuperStar is an annual fundraiser for the Jewish Community of Greater Kansas City. The competition awards the $10,000 Edward & Ellen Rose Family Scholarship to the best high school singer in the Kansas City Metropolitan area. Second place will receive a $5,000 scholarship, third place will receive a $2,500 scholarship, and fourth place will receive a $1,000 scholarship.
