The City of Lee’s Summit is beginning the second phase of its strategic planning process and inviting residents and stakeholders to attend a Community Conversation to review and provide additional input on a draft strategic plan framework.
from City of Lee’s Summit
The first community conversation will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 24 at the Missouri Innovation campus. The second will be from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., Thursday, April 25 at The Aspen Room at The Stanley in downtown Lee’s Summit.
More than 500 community members provided input during the first phase of the strategic planning process, through community conversations, focus groups and online engagement.
Using community engagement results, City Council drafted a strategic plan framework, which includes a draft vision statement and critical success factors. At the upcoming community conversations, attendees will review the strategic plan elements and give additional input.
“We need every resident to come out and have their voice heard through one of these community conversations. This is an opportunity to tell City leaders what direction to go,” said Lee’s Summit Mayor Bill Baird. “We want to ensure everyone in our community is represented, so we are able to make the best decisions possible. This process is critical for our long-term health as a community.”
