One Lee’s Summit City Council member has decided not to seek re-election in April 2020.
Craig Faith, who represents District 2, announced last week he would be stepping away from elected office at the end of this term.
For those who follow local government, Faith’s most engaging moments include outspoken support for the City’s first responders and for his deciding vote on the Council’s decision to offer public incentives to a multi-family development at the site of the former United Methodist Church in downtown Lee’s Summit.
In his statement, Faith said he planned to spend more time with his wife, Myra, working with local and state-wide chaplain ministry programs.
