Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation (LSPR) is adding pop up art to some of their parks. However, patrons will only be able to see this art when the trails and sidewalks are wet. Our empowerment and inspirational art movement is in partnership with Lee’s Summit CARES and artist Jamie Lyon of InJoy, LLC.

Parks department, LS Beautification Commission receives conservation grant

Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation, in partnership with the Beautification Commission, was awarded a TRIM Grant through the Missouri Department of Conservation on September 7, 2018 and the work needed to receive the grant was completed in April of 2019.

City contracts for disposal & recycling services at former landfill

The City of Lee’s Summit has entered into an agreement with KC Dumpster Company to provide a variety of disposal services at the Resource Recovery Park, located at 2101 SE Hamblen Rd. Available disposal services include household trash, household hazardous waste, recycling, and yard and brush disposal.
