New Trails coming to Legacy Park

The City of Lee's Summit Parks and Recreation Department, in partnership with local non-profit Urban Trail Co., is bringing new trails to Legacy Park. These natural-surface, single-track trails for mountain biking, hiking, and trail running will be located along the northern and eastern portion of Legacy Park.

Summit Park Shelter to Be Demolished, Making Way for Improvements to Park

Among the proposed improvements are installation of pickleball courts, batting cages, new infields with backstops for additional practice space, replacement of existing playground equipment with a new adventure playground area, relocation of restrooms, resurfacing of tennis courts, replacement of fencing around tennis courts, relocation of park entrance, additional parking (from 65 to around 120 spaces), as well as the construction of a new, 2,600 square foot shelter that will accommodate large functions.
